In our last post, we talked about the benefits of personally tinting your windows. Well, we’ve got more window info for you today – but this time we’re going to discuss the benefits of having double panes.
Why do you keep your windows closed in the wintertime? Well, obviously you want to keep the heat in and the cold out! Now that we’re about to spring into spring, and summer soon after, you’re going to want the opposite. Either way, double pane windows very literally double your efforts! Perhaps more effective than that is the fact that between the two panes of glass is a type of gas that acts as an insulator. The combination of these three elements makes for some awesome temperature insulation for your home.
But maybe you already have double pane windows, and they don’t seem to be working that well. Or maybe you’re thinking of upgrading your windows, and you’re not sure how you can identify issues with them. Well, some of the primary issues that may cause double pane windows to be less effective include wood rot, poor sealing, or it could be that the gas between the panes has started to leak out.
Regardless of the issue, thermal imaging can help identify the problem. This is one of the many helpful inspection services we offer, and we want to help you out! Drop us a line to schedule your inspection today.
